AWS Solutions Architect Mock Test: Free Online Practice Papers

AWS Solutions Architect Exam Pattern

Every mock test in this series follows the pattern below, taken from the latest official notification for the AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Associate (SAA-C03). 130 minutes, 65 questions across four domains. No negative marking; the live exam includes 15 unscored items and is scored on a 100–1000 scale.

Marking is +1 / no negative with no penalty for a wrong answer, so there is no reason to leave a question blank. Questions are presented in English.

Why take AWS Solutions Architect mock tests online

A mock test is the only part of preparation that measures the thing the exam measures: your score under a clock, on a paper you have not seen. Chapter practice tells you whether you know a topic; a full-length AWS Solutions Architect mock tells you whether you can produce marks from it in 2 hours 10 minutes with nothing to look up.

Taking them online matters because the real AWS Solutions Architect is a computer-based test. Time lost to an unfamiliar palette, a clumsy on-screen calculator or a mis-clicked section is time lost from questions. How to use these AWS Solutions Architect practice papers

50 papers is more than anyone should attempt in a rush. Two a week for the six months before SAA-C03, each one read properly afterwards, is worth more than twenty taken back to back. One rhythm that works:

1. Take Mock 01 cold. No revision beforehand. You want a baseline score and an honest read of which section loses you the most marks per minute.
2. Work on the weakest section before the next paper. The analysis names the section costing you the most marks per minute. Taking another paper before you have addressed it tells you nothing new.
3. Then two papers a week, at your real slot time. Sit them at the same time of day as your exam slot, in one sitting, with the clock running. A paper taken in pieces measures nothing.
4. Every fifth paper, read the time table rather than the score. Look for questions that took four minutes and returned nothing. By the last month, pacing is usually the only thing still worth changing.
5. Keep the last three papers for the final fortnight. Save a few unseen papers for the run-in, so your last read of your own form comes from a paper you have never seen.

AWS Solutions Architect preparation tips that come out of the score data

There is no negative marking and the pass mark is scaled to 720 out of 1000. Answer every question; an unanswered item is simply a lost mark.

Most questions give four technically workable answers and ask for the one that is most cost-effective, most managed, or least operational overhead. Read the qualifier before the options.

When an option involves running something on EC2 that AWS offers as a managed service, it is almost always the wrong answer for this exam.
